Purpose: This Workshop Tool Usage Policy is established to ensure the safety, security, and proper utilisation of tools within our workshop premises. It outlines the guidelines and responsibilities for individuals hiring our workshop facilities.
Scope: This policy applies to all individuals renting our workshop space and utilising the tools provided within the premises.

- Tool Access:
- Only individuals with proper authorisation and training are allowed to access and use the tools within the workshop.
- Access to tools is granted upon completion of a workshop induction and tool training sessions.
- Tool Maintenance:
- Users are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of tools before and after use.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools to the workshop manager immediately.
- Safety Protocols:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines provided during the orientation and training sessions.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, gloves, and ear protection when operating tools.
- Using tools under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Tool Usage Restrictions:
- Tools should be used only for their intended purposes.
- Do not modify or alter tools without prior approval from workshop management.
- Tool Storage:
- Return all tools to their designated storage locations after use.
- Ensure that tools are properly stored in their respective cases or cabinets to prevent loss or damage.
- Tool Sharing:
- Tools are not to leave the workshop without prior approval from the workshop management.
- Do not lend tools to any individuals in the workshop who have not undergone the required orientation and training.
- Users are responsible for their tools and should not share them with unauthorised individuals.
- Workshop Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace by disposing of waste materials properly according to the Waste Management Plan.
- Clean up any spills or debris immediately to prevent accidents.
- Liability:
- Users are personally liable for any injuries or damages resulting from misuse or negligence while using workshop tools.
- The workshop facility and management are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
- Tool Inventory:
- Report any missing tools or equipment to the workshop manager or quartermaster promptly.
- Users may be held accountable for any lost or stolen tools while under their care.
- Compliance:
- Failure to comply with this policy may result in the suspension or revocation of workshop access privileges. No refunds will be issued.
- Repeat violations may lead to additional disciplinary actions, including fines or legal consequences.
